    Luminous for World Cancer Day

Darling Quarter is supporting World Cancer Day again this year by lighting up Luminous blue and orange on 4 February. This year’s World Cancer Day theme, “Close the Care Gap”, is about raising awareness of the equity gap that impacts global cancer care.

World Cancer Day is a leading global initiative led by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), who with the help of their partners, aim to light up significant landmarks across Australia to raise awareness.

Each year hundreds of activities and events take place around the world gathering communities, organisations and individuals – in the streets and online – acting as a powerful reminder that we can all plat a role in reducing the global impact of cancer. By raising worldwide awareness, improving education and catalysing personal, collective and government action, this initiative has grown into a positive movement for everyone, everywhere.

Take actions together this #WorldCancerDay #CloseTheCareGap.
